The Latin American Art Pavilion, (LAAP), offers ongoing professional support to mid-career Latin American artists, orienting them with regard to the right steps to create a potential niche for sales to selected groups of collectors, and to insert themselves into the global art market (particularly Latin American contemporary art).
This logo was very challenging due to its versatility. First it had to show Latin America as a continent with its folkloric colorful culture in an artistic way. I used red, blue, green and yellow outlines tracing a similar shape as rivers, representing the different cultures.
Then the green pattern was created in a circle symbolizing the unity for the art cause. This pattern is present in Mayan, Aztec and Inca cultures.
The red circle refers to the relation between Latin American Art Pavilion and Red Dot.
The font Andale Mono was perfect for its square symmetrical lines and serif on “I”
